Furūsiyya - The art of Chivalry between East and West

This week the newest temporary exhibition at the Louvre Abu Dhabi got inaugurated - "Furūsiyya - the Art of Chivalry between East and West". It opened for the public yesterday, but on Monday was the VIP inauguration and on Tuesday all the Art Club members were invited for a special preview. As I weren't able to go to the training the curators did with the mediators and External Guides, I thought I would at least participate in this event, and see it all a bit "from the other side". 

First there was a reception with drinks and nibbles under the dome:

I loved the scenography of this exhibit, they had made beautiful use of the whole space all the way up to the dome; also choosing to work with these light colours was really a nice change compared to the dark rooms of the two previous temporary exhibitions:

It's another blockbuster exhibition offered at the Louvre Abu Dhabi! Go see it!
