A morning at the mosque

Yesterday it was time for one of the big sights here in Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It was my third visit, and the first time both for Nathan and the kids.
Unfortunately there was so many people yesterday, we had to queue for a bit to get the abayas, and it was rather crowded around the entrance. It was hard to snap any photos without any other people in it.

Time to take the shoes off to go inside.

The inside of this mosque never seizes to amaze me, it's really, really beautiful.

The windows are spectacular.

So are the ceilings, and the doors... and the walls...

We even managed to take a Watson family photo - where everybody was smiling!
