Dubai Glow Garden and Dinosaur Park

Nathan was off yesterday and I wanted to go and do something. I have so many things on the bucket list now for the winter season, to do while the weather is perfect for being outside.
We decided to drive up to Dubai and visit something I had been reading about - the new Dubai Glow Garden and Dinosaur Park.

We arrived about 4.30 pm, so we had time for a coffee and a donut before we took a walk around the dinosaur part of the park. Even though it was full of lots of life size dinosaurs and some of them even moved and made noise, we weren't that impressed. I think our kids were just slightly too old for this kind of entertainment.

We waited around for sunset, to then go around the second part of the park, the Glow Garden. This was really beautiful, especially after sunset. Lots of different displays to wander around and admire.

These structures have been created by artists from all around the world. Some of them will attempt to feature in Guinness Book of World Records. My favourites were this jellyfish pond and the galaxy overhead just by the entrance/exit:

After we were done exploring the park, we met up with one of our old friends from both the UK and Brunei, Dave. He was in Dubai on a stopover so we had dinner together in a Spanish tapas place at the Dubai Creek. Great view, great food (Papas Arrugadas, Gambas Al Ajillo and Pimientos de Padrón, mmm!) and great company! Great end to a great day!
