A birthday at sea

On Friday we were invited to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday, out at sea! She told us that it had been a dream of hers for a long time to have a party on a yacht, and now with her big 4-0, she decided it was the perfect occasion! Happy birthday Linda!

We got champagne while all the guests arrived and settled in on the third floor of this nice boat.

It was really lovely, unlimited food and drink and best of all - a lot of really nice people. After the initial (rather wavy) drive out of the marina across some of the open sea, the kids got to swim when we stopped at Lulu Island and then we enjoyed a slow sail back along the Corniche at sunset.

The Corniche is amazingly beautiful like this, seen from the sea. Especially now just after National Day when all the buildings are still decorated in red, green and white and the most amazing LED light shows were playing on many of the high buildings.
