So apart from admiring the world's largest Picasso sculpture, what else did we do in Kristinehamn?
We saw Sweden's only floating city arms - Christine af Bro. This full-scale boeier was built based on the model in the city arms, all according to old Dutch tradition, and launched in 2005.
Apparently it does trips around the archipelago, but considering the weather this afternoon, we were happy we hadn't booked one.
We had got a tip for a restaurant by the guide by the Picasso sculpture, but once we reached the place she
recommended it didn't appeal to us at all. So we kept looking, but there
wasn't much choice in the city center, so to avoid to many hAngry
people, we opted for a safe bet - pizza.
Not much 'Italian' about kebab-pizza!! Ha ha!
We went for a stroll through the city center, but to be honest, that was quickly done!
In the afternoon we had a round of mini-golf at the camping site, Lucas won. The course was rather nicely done though, with all the sights from around Kristinehamn:
And for dinner we went just across the road where Carin had spotted they served waffles - of all kinds! The kids had some spectacular 'bubble waffles' with lots of good stuff in them.
And look at my choice! I almost couldn't finish all those shrimps! Almost!
The camping was situated really nicely - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It would've been lovely of course if it would've been so warm the kids could've enjoyed the beach, but yeah, that's Swedish summer for you!
Swimming or no swimming, at least we had wine!
