Visiting my friend Linda and her brood in Karlstad is a must while in Sweden. Last year, we saw nobody apart from Mormor and Morfar, so it had been two years since our last visit here - well, well overdue. Having morning coffee on her porch in the sunshine, is one of my absolute favourite things to do in the summer:
Usually we stay three days, two nights, but this year it ended up being five days, four nights. The kids always ask for us to stay longer, so this year their wishes came through. It was great! We spent our days with hanging out, swimming, laser tag, walking Bull, shopping; and playing padel, which was the favourite thing and so much fun we went back twice!
It was mostly the boys swimming, but even I got in one late afternoon. The water was absolutely amazing. Swimming in lakes, I love it!
We missed the third musketeer, Anna (and Cameron and Maya), who couldn't make it over to Karlstad this year due to the UK/Sweden travel regulations. We made sure we had a couple of wines together anyway of course, thanks to Zoom!
