At Niklasdam

For our last morning together, after we had cleaned out our cabin and packed the cars up, we wanted to go somewhere for fika before we drove our separate ways again. Carin wanted 'finfika', so we googled "best fika in Kristinehamn" and on that list we found a place called Niklasdam which had got great reviews. Only 10 km out of the city, so off we went.

And in a very, very picturesque setting we found this place - the Niklasdam Geranium Museum, Nursery-Garden & Café.

Mormor would've been so proud of us for choosing a place like this, even without her company. We started inside the greenhouse which housed the Geranium Museum. Apparently they have around 400 different kinds here.

Then it was time for the fika, the café was really cute, everything was geranium themed, of course.

I had to try their signature 'Geranium Cake', very pretty.

Finally we had a look in the shop. Lucas thought it was a shame we couldn't buy something for Mormor (as we weren't going straight back to Skara), she would've loved that.

But he enjoyed having a look at all the different kinds of plants, and above all geraniums they sold here. Amongst them, one that had a scent that reminded of Coca-Cola!

After our fika we said goodbye to the Teti family for this time and continued further around Lake Vänern - to our next destination Karlstad.
