Fun in Nyköping

We went straight from the camp in Norrköping to Nyköping in a hire car I had picked up. As we were so close, we wanted to go see our friends the Dunlops. Nathan went to see them during his holiday last year, but it had been quite a few years since the kids and I last went.

It was lovely to see them again. The kids clicked straight away and were happy to be with friends.

Sam and Kicki have a great set-up at their house with a trampoline, a pool, lots of toys and now also a jacuzzi! Something us girls took advantage of later in the night when all the kids were asleep!
This is about midnight, still light outside! Bubbles and bubbles... aahhh, life is good!

Both Linnea and Lucas are great with other kids, especially younger ones. They also played loads with Charlie the days we were there, both in the pool and in his room. They got along beautifully.

Pancakes for lunch. (You can see how camp affected Lucas, he actually wasn't well at all by now, and spent most of the day after this down in the basement resting.)

Maya and Mister, the dog:

While Sam took Charlie swimming at the beach, Lucas rested, and the rest of us went down to the harbour for some ice cream and a play at the playground.

Kicki and I took a stroll on the boardwalk:

I love how the kids just accept each other and get along, even though it's usually a few years in between each time. Sam and Nathan have been friends for well over 20 years, so I'm glad that even as families, we enjoy each other's company.
