Qasr al Watan light show

I must admit I was a tiny, little bit disappointed the Hybholts were not really into any sightseeing this time. I really wanted to take them back to the Louvre Abu Dhabi to show them the new exhibitions, but as they had been last year there was no huge interest to return.
I did make them go to the Presidential Palace though, as that has wasn't even open yet when they were here last, and it is really impressive to see.

The blue carpet which was installed for the visit of President Putin a few weeks ago, was still there. Not sure if they just hadn't removed it yet, or if there are other VIP visits on the horizon. Goes well anyway with the colours of gold, white and blue of the palace decor:

We purposely came in the evening so that we had time to have a look inside the palace just before closing time, and then stayed behind in the gardens to enjoy the famous light show which is on display every evening at 7.45 pm.
