Last week we had to say goodbye to our favourite Irish clan, our neighbours from across the compound, the O'Connells. After 11 years in the sandpit it was their time to pack up and move back to the green island.
We invited both them and the Germans over for dinner, and as there was so many of us, we just did a big pizza order!
It really sucks seeing them leave as they are really good friends and even though we definitely count on catching up again either here or there; we already miss the noise from the endless doorbells when the three boys come over, the many laughs over spontanious drinks in the kitchen and the support of having someone to talk to just a few doors away. Good luck in Ireland!
