Across the border

To end our trip this time we went just across the boarder and into Malaysia for a few days, to visit our friends the Foxes in Johor Baru. We've seen Jason a few times when he has been through Abu Dhabi with work, but it had been six years since we saw Maki and the kids last. Time sure flies!

They live in a really lovely spot, surrounded by green, green, green in every direction. So nice to be back in the jungle, with all the familiar smells and noises.
The kids stayed in the pool nearly all day, only came up for food.

On the second day we went to the club house in their compound, the Balé Club. The boys went for a round of disc-golf, Jason's new hobby, and the girls had a swim in the pool. 2-for-1 pizza night made for an easily organized dinner!
