In the afternoon we continued from the Expo Park into the more central parts of Osaka. Misuzu took us to a cat café, where we spent a little while cuddling the many cats.
These sorts of animal cafés are very common in Japan, where you can pet
for example cats, bunnies and hedgehogs. Usually they are animals that
have been rescued, and are up for adoption.
The cats at this particular café were not very interested in cuddling though unfortunately, they seemed rather sleepy.
Oliver tried a bit of a different approach getting the cats interested, by showing them themselves on the phone...:
After the cat café we went in search for somewhere to have dinner. We walked through the lit up area called Dotonbori which apparently is the Times Square of Osaka. Everybody takes pictures in front of this "running man" - so, so did we!
We ended up eating BBQ, yum yum!
Right outside the window, another ferris wheel (they sure seemed to like ferris wheels in Japan, we saw so many), but this one was rather oddly shaped!
