Linnea joined me in the city after she had finished work Friday night. It was already quite late, so we just went out for an easy dinner not too far from the hotel - pizza!
Saturday morning we got out fairly early, as we had to get back to the hotel in the afternoon for Linnea to sit an online assessment for Uni.
For breakfast she took me to a small Swedish bakery down Rose street, a small side street not far from Covent Garden. To the difference of the Fabrique bakery this was a compact little place with only four seats, but we were lucky enough to be able to grab two of them.
I went for another semla, of course, and this one was so fresh and so yummy! Head and shoulders above the one from the Fabrique bakery. Divine!
We then walked around doing a little spot of shopping and sightseeing. The weather was rather gloomy and grey, but at least the rain held off.
Linnea went to get another piercing, and surprisingly I really like it! It suits her well, and looks really good on her.
What I did during Linnea's little break at the hotel will be shown in its own post. But afterwards in the evening, we went to have Asian food. Linnea had a really yummy pork belly, I got total food envy (my salmon dish was not quite as exciting...).
Then we met up with some of Linnea's friends celebrating a birthday out in Camden. We were even joined by Sadie, one of Linnea's best friends from Abu Dhabi who is now studying in the Hague but was in London with her course. Such a great timing!
I left the young people at the pub crawl and went home earlier, but Linnea had a great night out!
