While the kids were at school on Sunday we decided to do a little drive-by sightseeing downtown. The area where we live isn't really representative for Abu Dhabi as it's very new and under construction; still dusty, sandy and not very established yet. The city center is kind of where it all happens, with all the huge skyscrapers, high rise buildings and pretty parks.
We did a quick stop at the Heritage Village.
Mostly because Anna wanted to get some more souvenirs to bring home to Sweden, from the little souk:

We had lunch in Marina Mall, and even managed to squeeze in a little bit of shopping on the way out... :)
