After a few days in Denmark, it was time to move on. Nathan only had a week of holiday after all, so we were making the most of it.
This summer as well, we used the FlixBus to travel one of our legs, from Kolding to Copenhagen very early in the morning on Wednesday. Good value for money and it only takes about 15 minutes longer than the train, and I really don't mind the bus, it is comfortable and has WiFi. Yes, it was very crowded though, so everyone was happy I had paid that little bit extra to reserve seats, so that we got to sit together.
We didn't stay in Copenhagen but jumped straight on the train to Malmö, where we met with Pia. We had a few hours before we could pick up our rental car, so we made the most of it with a nice lunch and also some speedy shopping at Emporia.
Got the rental car, and set off up north. This year we were visiting some friends from Abu Dhabi who moved back to Sweden last summer, the Nordins. They live in Onsala, not far from Kungsbacka on the West Coast, an area I'm somewhat familiar with but still wanted to explore more.
It was nice to see that Abu Dhabi was still very much present in their home!
We had sunshine for our day of exploration. Took a bit of a walk around their neighbourhood, and out to the coast to Gottskär.
What a beautiful place to live!
Nathan and I also got taught how to play '10,000' in dice...
... and the kids had fun outside in the pergola with music, snacks and hygge!
The last morning, it was only Petra and I going for a walk:
Thank you Nordin family for your hospitality and great company!
