Nathan got called out on standby this morning, and I, quite frankly, couldn't face spending another day just around the house. So I took the kids to this little water park Bron had told me about, Murjan Splash Park in Khalifa Park.
It says it's suited for children up to 12 years of age, and Lucas amused himself nicely for a couple of hours; but I think target age really is around 4-7 years.
We came about 2.30 in the afternoon and it was HOT, and not so much people. By the time we left at 5.30, it was a lot more pleasant, but also a lot more busy, and even queues for some activities.
The biggest feature is the big play pool area. It has some small water slides and a giant tipping bucket. It's shallow, so no need to worry about the kids at all. The kids also liked to float around on their ‘lazy river’.
Lucas' favourite feature was the 'Dhow derby' where he could steer small boats around a lake, and Linnea liked the 'Lili Pad Hop':
It's not big, but enough to entertain the kids for a few hours. Nice to play in the water on these hot days, temperatures feels like they are rising by the day at the moment!
