So long Maria

Grandma got to step up to the plate and babysit already the first evening as Nathan was away flying and I had been invited out to a Farewell Ladies Night. So many people seem to be leaving this year, the current downturn in the oil and gas industry has affected a lot of businesses around here obviously.

I already don't have that many friends here, so to have to say goodbye to some of the few I have, is not that much fun. Maria is one of the Swedish girls and her family is returning home to settle in Sweden after a few years here, and another few years previously in South America.

We went to the Ladies Night at the Iris at Yas Marina, always a good spot on a Wednesday night, with free drinks for the girls. And when you start at 7pm, you can easily be home again by 10pm - rather content with your evening!
