Another thing Lars and Dorte were keen to try while here was of course an iconic afternoon brunch, as they are both really good at cooking and are huge foodies.
Their days here coincided not only with Tash's arrival on the Friday, but also with Will's 50th on the Saturday - so we brought some more people and the brunch ended up being a birthday bash!
We did the trusty Fairmont brunch, which this time had a walk-about oyster man!

Yup, Abu Dhabi is becoming the new Brunei - especially with the Doha-enclave here for the birthday. Gang back together! Heart full!
We brunched into the afternoon, and then we continued the evening first at our balcony, and then at Peta and Brownies balcony; as it was also National Day and they had a great view of the fireworks at the bay! Then we sent Lars and Dorte off to the airport for their 2 am departure back to snowy Denmark. Big day to finish off their stay here in Abu Dhabi, but something tells me, they will be back..!
