Days in Denmark

We only spent a few days in Denmark, as many of our friends weren't there at this time unfortunately. Thomas & co were on a cruise, but we were lucky enough to get to borrow their apartment, which was perfect as it's on walking distance from both Søren & Katja and Pierre & Dorthe.
I just don't understand why all of our friends have to live on 4th floor or higher... with no elevators...

Denmark for me is a lot about food, of course we had to have some Danish hot dogs - En risted med det hele. Certain things you just can't recreate, they never taste as good as when you are in the place where they are supposed to be enjoyed. So good!

The first day we had no specific plans, so we just went for a stroll around town, found a small park I had never visited before:

Bumped into another old friend, who invited us over to his restaurant for an afternoon snack before we went back to Søren for some sushi.

The second day we took some take-away salads back with us to have lunch at Pierre & Dorthes:

Then we actually caught up with a friend of mine, Linda from Karlstad, who just happened to be in Copenhagen this Saturday too! So we decided to meet for a quick drink down in Nyhavn. It was really lovely, as I always visit her on my own in the summers, I don't think Nathan and her had met since we left the UK. I certainly hadn't met her new boyfriend, so that was a bonus!

After our little aperitif, we had (some more pork) dinner at Torvehallerne:

In the evening we went to the very cool hotel Manon Les Suites, to catch up with Peter & Stine who had just arrived from Oslo. So lucky that we overlapped, even though it was just for an evening!

We went and found the closest place to the hotel which had some cheep and cheerful food, and showed the football - and watched Belgium beat Brazil out of the World Championships. Good fun!
