Up up and away!

These Christmas holidays we decided that Linnea and I would go on a short trip to Sweden, to check in with Mormor and Morfar, before Christmas. Lucas would stay here as he has quite a bit of school work to sink his teeth into; and no matter how little work he would be doing here, it would still be more than he would do if he came along to Sweden.

So us girls got travel ready, Linnea got pretty Christmas nails:

And I got all the necessary documents and PCR-tests sorted... My oh my, remember the times when all you needed to travel was a ticket and your passport?!

All went well though, we flew up the front on the way to Amsterdam so I had a nice, lush and bubbly start to the day! He he, just before 9am, but champagne suits any time of the day, right?

I really enjoy the new safety video onboard Etihad - filmed at our beautiful Louvre Abu Dhabi.

We only had a short connection in Amsterdam, but as the check-in staff had sorted so that our bags got checked all the way through to Göteborg, we had time to visit this little museum in one of the terminals. Yes, museum! Gotta love an airport with a museum, right!

Mormor and Morfar picked us up at Landvetter, and to Linneas great joy, there was so much snow! It was even falling as we landed, she was ecstatic! We weren't able to drive the normal way home as there had been an accident on one of the roads and it was completely shut off. So instead of our normal stop in Alingsås, we had to wait until Borås for our post-flight Max meal..!

Unfortunately due to the short connection, our bags didn't make it to Göteborg with us. They were located straight away though, and promised to be put on the evening flight, to be delivered to us the following day (which they were, as promised). No biggie, there was spare tooth brushes and plenty of clothes for us to use at Mormor and Morfars house. We were just happy they weren't completely lost.
