Linnea and I were really happy to have got (finally) some beautiful summer days, to end our holiday. Copenhagen was great, as per usual. It was a bit sad to say goodbye to Lucas, but it was time to get home. We were both ready.
We got back home on the Thursday night, after having had an overnight at Brussels airport on the way. A long way home really, but (hopefully) the last time traveling via Europe; can't wait to have our direct Copenhagen flights start on the 1st of October!
Nathan was working all Friday, and then HE left for Copenhagen on Friday night - going to enjoy his August leave week. So we barely even had time to catch up.
I spent my Friday unpacking and tidying up, and - resetting the house for fall. I know, early, but since school is starting and summer holiday is over, it is fall in our home.
My amazing stick sculpture from Vildhjärta survived the trip carefully wrapped in my hand luggage. It's now on my desk so I can enjoy it every day! Isn't he cute?
I wanted to do something this time in Copenhagen that I had seen on some Instagram-accounts lately - hire a GoBoat!
You can be 8 people on board, and bring a picnic or drinks. We brought coffee, and some pastries, as we were sailing just before lunchtime.
Pia joined us for our last days of the holiday across in Copenhagen. We were all very kindly invited to stay at Thomas place.
On our first evening we killed two birds with one stone and had a date with some of our Danish friends, at the pub where Lucas has been working - a Warpigs night.
We had a pit stop in Bunkeflostrand after having dropped our rental car off. Pia had waited all summer to have some company to open up a bottle of champagne with! I was happy to abide!
Time to leave Skara for another few days in Denmark, before the summer holidays are finished.
Goodbyes ON the stairs (in stead of in front of it) because of the - rain, of course!
It certainly wasn't a good summer for outdoors activities. It rained a lot.
But, I got a few good afternoons when I managed to go for a few walks. Nowhere near how many I usually do, but at least I did get some gravel under my feet, did some "forest grounding", and of course all while having Sommar i P1 in my ears!
We also went to put some flowers on the grave of course, for the special day. Happy Birthday Morfar!
