Mamsha and John Legend

On the weekend Louvre Abu Dhabi was celebrating its 5th Anniversary, and this was done with - amongst other things - a string of concerts at the museum. We had got tickets for the Saturday night, to go see John Legend.

Before the concert we decided to go for dinner together with Linda, Johan, Michaela and James at Mamsha. Strangely enough, I hadn't yet been in that place! What a nice area, especially now when the weather is absolutely stunning, we sat outside of course. This area has a really nice vibe, with lots of interesting restaurants and places to go, I wish it was just a tad bit closer to us.

We went for dinner at Black Tap, not for the food, but because they have Sidehustle on tap... ha ha! Burgers were yummy too, and we all shared one of their monstershakes for dessert. Kathleen came as well after she had finished work, and we had a few drinks before it was time to head over to the concert.

The concerts were held at a purpose built stage on the side of the museum, with the grandstands being placed across the water. I had seen this being constructed for the last few weeks, and was looking forward to the finished result.

I mean, come on! Could there be a more pretty concert venue than this!??

Sitting there, listening to the smooth voice of John Legend, jamming along all while admiring this beautiful building - it was MAGIC!

The concert only lasted for an hour, but at least he sang the songs I knew - "Ordinary people" being a favourite, and of course "All of me". Mmm!

The Dream Team was out in force! Nice to hang out also outside of work sometimes.
