Like the locals

I was lucky to be able to take part in one of the October SWEA events this week, which was really nice, before work really kicks in. A bunch of the SWEA girls gathered at the brand new The One shop (which is Swedish owned by the way!), to have a browse:

Then we went for lunch at a local restaurant a few houses down, the Bayt Al Bokhary. We opted to sit on the floor, like the locals. Even though it really showed our age (...), it was actually quite fun.

We had a fantastic meal, with rice, chicken and mutton, tabbouleh, hummus and fattoush. When we were done, we were invited to some iced coffees by the owner, as they are about to open a new coffee place and wanted to test out some coffees on us. All very nice, even though the saffron one was a bit too sweet for me.
Such a great lunch, I will be coming back again for sure, a perfect place to bring guests for sure!
