SeaWorld

We also enjoyed a visit this week to one of the newest attractions here in Abu Dhabi - SeaWorld. It opened at the end of May, and of course it is a perfect place to go when it is too hot do to anything outside. We had company, the McGeeHees came along, which was a lot of fun.

It is a bit creepy at times inside, with all the artificial surroundings. Really gives you Truman Show-vibes.

Lots of things to see though, I was surprised, and impressed. It was far bigger than I thought.
It is the region's first marine life theme park and it has 8 immersive realms that takes you from the Poles to the tropics and lets you learn about the One Ocean, that connects all of us.

SeaWorld is home to over 100 animal experiences and presentations, it also includes interactive exhibits, theatrical performances, rides and the worlds largest multi-species aquarium with over 150 species and 68,000 animals.

We saw so many animals, everything from tropical birds such as macaws and flamingos to otters, walruses and seals.

SeaWorld also has an Animal Care Center, where they work within the research field, and they have established a rescue, rehab and return program in close partnership with the authorities.

We had a great time! The park is really stunning!
