Örebro Wadköping

Once we had seen Örebro from above, we walked back into the city to finish off the afternoon by exploring yet another very famous area, the open air museum Wadköping.
This opened already in 1965 and comprises of buildings and courtyards moved here from around Örebro. It shows both these low built red painted 17th, 18th and early 19th century buildings, and in another area how the Örebro city looked after the great fire of 1854.


These buildings are now home to museums, craft workshops, exhibition venues and shops. We had some really delicious ice cream here, some of the best I had all summer actually!


We took it into the neighbouring park, Stadsparken, and enjoyed it in the rose garden:
